What does BattleMetrics RCON do?
It stays connected to your server and logs it, holds your staff and their permissions, bans across your servers, runs triggers and scheduled messages, and keeps a player database.
Is BattleMetrics safe?
It is a long-running service, started in 2014 by server admins. To use its RCON you give it your server's RCON password, which it keeps to stay connected. By its own help pages it keeps chat logs for up to three months and player identifiers for good.
How do I add my server to BattleMetrics?
Its setup asks for your server's address, game port, query port, RCON port and RCON password.
Is there a free alternative?
RustAdmin is a free desktop app, which works while your computer is on. Rust On Top's admin console is free and runs in the browser.
Coming soon: Rust On Top's admin console, free for every server you run.
See the consoleChecked on 7 October 2026 against Rust's October update, on our own server.
